My Moving Experience & Flat Tour!

Hello everybody, long time no speak! No excuses this time, I promise. Just me being utterly rubbish. Today I wanted to talk about my moving experience, as a lot of people around my age might also be taking their first steps to life on their own.

I moved out with Richard just over a month ago on the 17th August. On the day we were helped by my Dad and Stepdad and everything ran surprisingly smoothly. Our flat is furnished, however, we've bought some pieces of furniture just to make it more homely.

So far, I'm loving it! I love cooking and trying new meals out, and we've just got Netflix so I'm currently obsessed with The Vampire Diaries (very late on the band wagon, I know!) As I write this, Richard is watching some football program and I'm watching TVD in the bedroom.

On Wednesday, I had my Dad, Sister and her boyfriend round for dinner and cooked Mexican whilst Richard was out for dinner with his work team.

The worst part is obviously the cleaning, but our flat is very easy to keep clean, and we work well as a team so it's a pretty quick process. We only have a one bedroom flat but it's home and I love it more than anything! I haven't got any pictures of the bathroom because, well, all bathrooms are the same!

  1. I remember when I first moved out! Suddenly there's all that stuff to take care of -- cleaning, like you mentioned, and shopping, and the bins. Who knew they didn't just empty themselves? But as long as you get a routine sorted out, it all gets easier pretty quickly and you can just relax and settle in.
