Happy New Year everyone! I've took some time this week to have some quality time with Richard, as we don't often get time to ourselves, and to also keep on top of my apprenticeship work! I thought I'd share my New Years Resolutions with you all, as I don't always do them, but I wanted to this year and I thought I'd be more likely to keep them if I shared with the rest of the world!
1. Stick to Slimming World
I've been doing Slimming World since just after my birthday in July, and if I'm being honest I haven't followed it properly and haven't really gotten anywhere with it! I don't eat awfully, but I do need to lose weight, especially seeing as I had a huge gain over Christmas (I won't tell you how big).
2. Cut out fizzy drinks
I'm not a massive fizzy drinks fan anyway, but in a shop I'll always reach for the Sprite Zero over the water, and it always makes me feel so bloated, so I'm going to try and only drink them if I'm at the pub with friends!
3. Look after my hair
As you will know if you read my recent post about my weave, I recently cut all my hair off so that it would grow back much nicer! I don't currently know how long my hair is as I have a weave, but I am having it taken out very soon and will be embracing the natural look for a while, and I want to look after my own hair a lot better than I have in the past!
4. Save as much money as possible
I am going on a spending ban for this month! I constantly tell myself I need that top, or I need that lipstick! I don't! Instead, this month, I will just walk away! I won't even look! I want to move out in August with Richard, and that won't be possible if I spend my money on anything that catches my eye! This year I want to save as much as I can, and if I go cold turkey for a month hopefully it'll be easier the rest of the year!
5. Be more organised/less messy
Anyone who knows me will tell you I'm the worlds untidiest person! I don't know how but one minute my room is spotless and the next there is clothes everywhere. It makes no sense to me, as I'm hardly home as it is. However, as I want to move out this year, I know I must get better at being tidy! I want a lovely home and if I can't even keep my bedroom tidy, how can I keep a whole house tidy?
6. Go swimming at least once a week
My renal consultant finally said I'm allowed to go swimming, so early December I started, however I haven't been in about three weeks as I've been so busy with family and work, so from next week I want to make sure I go at least once a week, as I really enjoyed it!
7. Start hula hooping again
Me and my mum joined a hula hooping class a while ago and loved it so much we bought our own hoops! However, we stopped going to the classes because I had weird shifts at the time and just stopped altogether, so this is something I definitely want to get back into this year, as I felt so much more toned when I was hula hooping, and it's also really fun when you get the hang of it!
8. Keep on top of college work
This one explains itself. I've never been very good at keeping on top of my work in the past, but this time around I'm really going to try and stay motivated!
9. Start uploading more reguarly
I'm trying to work out a schedule for my posts, however everything's still a bit crazy at the moment, and I'm not back at work yet, so once I've figured all that out, I want to be able to start uploading posts on set days every week, two or three times a week at least!
