I have tried to write this blog post SO many times. Unfortunately, for some ridiculous reason, my blog just isn't uploading photos at the moment. However, I really wanted to do this blog post so I decided to just go ahead and do it without photos (sorry about that). There are loads of things I have been loving this month and most of them, I have to admit, are new discoveries.
The first products is the Natural Elements Bubble Gum Foam Bath. This is just lovely. I know it's only a bubble bath, however, it smells absolutely gorgeous and creates loads of bubbles, to say it was so cheap! I bought it from Poundland and you get 750ml which I think is a complete bargain.
Something that is not so cheap but so worth the money, which I use all the time and have done for ages is Bio Oil. I use it on my stomach, because when I first started taking my steroids my stomach ballooned from water retention, so consequently I am covered in stretch marks. This hasn't helped get rid of them but it has definitely helped in the process of fading them and they are a lot less noticeable than they were.
The next product is also a pound shop bargain and it's the Argan Oil Hydrating Hair Mask. I have a weave, and I really do need to replace the hair, but laziness and lack of time are stopping me, so every time I wash my hair, to stop the hair completely drying out on me I've been using this, as I only wash it twice a week tops. I leave it on for about an hour, then wash it out with any Shampoo and it leaves my hair feeling much softer.
Something that ties in with the hair mask is the Argan Oil heat defence spray, I've been using this before I dry my hair, as well as before I use my curling wand on my hair, followed by the Argan Oil leave in oil for dry hair which has been leaving my hair a lot healthier looking and shiny.
The next product I want to talk about is something which literally everyone in the beauty world talk about and that's the Garnier Miscellar Water. This is an absolute God send. I am one of those guilty people who can get quite lazy with removing my makeup, but this just makes it so easy to do and doesn't leave any residue behind on your skin. It also comes in a very large bottle so it lasts a while and it is amazing at removing my eyeliner which I've previously had trouble getting off.
Something a bit strange I want to talk about is the Pearl Drops whitening toothpaste. I am always on the hunt for a good whitening toothpaste, as my teeth are very stained from my medication. I'm constantly buying tooth whitening kits and whitening toothpastes and this and Colgate Max White One (the red tube) are the only ones I've found to make any difference at all. One thing I will say is I'm not a huge fan of the taste of this, and I do prefer the Colgate one, however, I am VERY fussy when it comes to mint.
Makeup wise, one of my favourite products for a long time is the Beauty UK High Brow Definition Kit. It is absolutely amazing and was only about £3.99 from Superdrug. I use it every single day and I find the middle shade matches my skin tone and hair colour perfectly.
Another makeup favourite is the MUA undressed palette. I use it pretty much every day when I have the time and it has some beautiful shimmery shades in and also some very good matt shades and it's a good all round eyeshadow palette.
The book I have been reading lately is Art Deco Fashion Masterpieces by Gordon Kerr. I was bought a lot of art and fashion books the Christmas before last when I was studying fashion at college and I've finally gotten round to reading this one and I find it so interesting. I know it won't be to everyone's interest but I really enjoy it.
On the other end of the book scale, I have been re-reading the Spider Sheperd series on my Kindle. This is the third or fourth time of reading these books and they are absolutely amazing. It's about an undercover cop who used to be in the SAS and I know that doesn't give much insight but I promise they are amazing and I don't want to spoil the books for anyone.
So that is my June favourites. I'm sorry there are no pictures. I'll keep trying to get them up! As this goes up it'll be my 20th birthday so I'll have a what I got for my birthday post and outfit post hopefully coming up this week if I can get it to work!
